Crap

Well I did it. Again. I forgot I had a blog. I don't even have an excuse this time, I just literally forgot it existed. Sorry to the none of you who actually care about this blog!

Give me ideas on what to write about, if there is somebody, anybody, out there who is reading this. I need ideas!!!

Poland Bound

Yes that's right. On July 8, I'll be heading off to Poland. For two and a half weeks. And I can't speak Polish. ...Great!

In all seriousness, I'd rather stay home, or perhaps go somewhere in the US. Not a place that's 7 hours ahead of where I live, and most certainly not a place where they speak a language I don't understand. Thankfully, a few words look like their English counterpart, so that's a good thing. However, it's 7. Hours. Ahead. I'll only be able to talk to my friends when it's nighttime in Poland. I can't handle that.

I also hate that I won't be in my room. None of my things will be there except the things in my suitcase and backpack. That means my precious computer won't be coming along with me. *sobs* Ahem. Also, I'll be away from my two guinea pigs for a long time. I'll just be worried that they sick or something the whole time. Or maybe I'll forget all about them until I look in my iPod's camera roll to find something to post on Instagram. Either one will happen, I guarantee it.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to the plane ride the most. I mean, PLANES! They're in the air. You can do...stuff. With no Internet...or ability to charge anything... Aw crap, this trip will not be very enjoyable.

My mom says that I should "keep an open mind" and "act nice around people when we're there" and "be careful about what you say in English." I don't swear out loud, Mom. I also don't make fun of people...when they're there. :P I will be trying my best to keep an "open mind," but I know that each day I'll be looking forward to going back to my grandparents' house/the apartment we'll stay in (we'll spend the last half of our trip staying at an apartment).

I feel like this entry is much too short, but my monitor is pretty big, so I guess it could be longer than it seems. And that's what she said.

It's Over

Middle school has officially ended. 3 years, 3 different houses, and many different experiences. I'm glad I get to move on, but I will always miss this place just a little bit. I still can't believe I can now say, "I'm in high school." It just sounds so much more...mature, I guess. I'll now proceed to go through each year, naming the house I was in and a few things I remember...

Sixth Grade
I was in Blue house, which only had two teachers then. The first day of middle school has always been clear in my mind. I met a few acquaintances from Woodside, and then we went to our lockers to go to first hour. Unfortunately I forgot the last number of my combination...so I was late to French, and of course the teacher pointed it out in front of the whole class. Embarrassing. I also remember my first day of band class...I hated who I had to sit by, and I was thankful when I found out we'd get new seats after chair placements. I might have been a bit afraid of Mr. N at first, I don't exactly remember that part.
For the rest of the year, our house did a few interesting things. We got to watch all three Ice Age movies during several lunch periods; in social studies we did that Greek unit, having to wear togas made out of bed sheets everyday; we also had a student teacher of sorts for social studies (and math, but I was in Mrs. English's class, so I didn't have him for that). Many kids cried on the last day of school...I didn't, but that was the last time I saw a good friend I'd made. She was my locker neighbor the whole year. We haven't talked since that day.
The track meet was mostly me sitting there talking to my best friend, who is still my friend today, thankfully. I thought marching during band was extremely difficult at first as well. I knew from the first day of FACE in third quarter that I'd hate it, which I did. Having art first hour was interesting, since Mr. B would turn on the radio sometimes, and there would be those talk shows between songs...I remember one day they were talking about underwear or something. :P

Seventh Grade
This is the grade where I met most of the friends I have today. I was in Red house, which my brother also had when he was in seventh grade. Honestly, I don't remember the first day at all. There might have been a house talk with all the teachers, but my memory isn't serving me well right now. For reading in first quarter I had Mr. Krenek, and that was probably the best time I've ever had in a reading class. I gained a really good friend, and sitting by her, Dylan S., and Matt M. ended with some hilarious conversations (such as Mr. Krenek's squeaky shoes).
This was the first year I got a BIP, and it's the only one I've ever gotten. Just from being a few measly seconds late to science...freaking graph paper. *shakes fist* Science was decent this year, but we had a lot of labs. The dissections were...interesting, to say the least. I didn't do much of the dissecting, I just looked at it and touched it. Those were the best days of science, though. In comm arts...well, I thought the class was decent. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. I gained friends either here or in math, for the most part.
Social studies. Here was where I gained a few friends, and those friendships still exist today. Geno kept kicking my chair during fourth quarter, though, which sucked. This was also the class where I discovered that my sight was getting worse...I didn't say anything to my parents until eighth grade, though. I remember always getting our homework done early and talking for the rest of the time. (:
Don't get me started on math. Mrs. Whitlock was usually at the end of her rope by this time, so it led to some...interesting moments, per-say. I still don't understand how she let us pick our seats for third and fourth quarter.
Seventh grade was the year I became more passionate about band. I learned I really hate languages, and I simply adored tech ed (didn't take it 8th grade though, thankfully). Health had some...strange moments. In gym I learned I liked to play Just Dance. Truthfully, seventh grade was a great year.

Eighth Grade
Oh God, how do I even describe this year. To start with, I had White house, which my brother was in when he was in this grade (back in 2006 guys!). Our house never did anything fun, but I still enjoyed the teachers...mostly. On the first day we played a game in social studies. We had to throw a ball at the Smart Board, and we'd answer whatever question was up there (they were about ourselves). From that day I knew I would hate most of the people in my first hour. :P I...really don't remember the rest of the day, haha. The thing I hated most about this year was that most of my friends were in Gold house...
I loved having band everyday. I got closer to my band pals, and we had some good times making jokes about Mr. N and telling stories. This was also the year I discovered Rise Against (thank you Tanner!), and that has really changed my taste in music. I'm not a huge fan of Taylor Swift anymore, and I deleted most Katy Perry songs from my iPod and Spotify playlists. I'm now very disconnected with the Top 40 chart, and for once I'm happy about it.
Back to school memories. Erm, I still don't forgive Mrs. Zielinski for abandoning us with Ms. Olson. She couldn't keep any class under control... Mrs. Kramer was probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. She actually made me enjoy science. That doesn't happen. She was just the perfect mix of sarcasm and humor, and she could teach us very well.
Comm arts...I could forget. Social studies was alright, but I wish Mrs. Lorenz didn't always call on people randomly...actually no, I wish she just wouldn't call on me randomly. Anybody else I'm fine with. :P I actually had friends in my gym class this past year! And I hated business tech, so I'll just forget that ever happened.
Overall, a decent year. I got closer to all my friends, so that's all I really care about.

Oh my God did I seriously write that much about middle school. High school will only create more memories, so let's hope that they're good ones. (:

The Fourth Day of June

I'm sorry about the sucky title but get over it. ^^

So today. Pretty boring. Lunch was awesome yet slightly awkward at times. In comm. arts today, there was a 666 sighting. We have to make brochures for our house and 8th grade I guess, and my friend and I went into Publisher. I picked which layout we would use. There was a sample phone number listed there...and it was 666-666-6666. We had to hold back our laughter to avoid getting in trouble. :P

Reading. Apparently people have been taking Vine videos of our reading class? Ms. Olson found them, and I think some people got in trouble for it. Other than that, reading was boring. We did finish our stupid Cinderella project thing, though.

And now last hour, which is science. We added a few speed bumps to our Rube Goldberg project, and then we hot glued a lot of things that probably didn't need it. We still have tomorrow to work, but we finished... I'm just hoping Mrs. Kramer won't yell at us for doing nothing the whole hour.

I guess I should say this too. In first hour, Mrs. Lorenz was going over a packet with us about the Civil War, and she did this hilarious southern accent. She had to let our class take a minute to laugh it out.

There's my day. I hope you didn't fall asleep reading it. Look forward to another post...sometime soon.

Welcome

Hey. If you're reading this, you're probably a friend of mine in real life. Or you followed my old blog and suddenly discovered this one. Whatever the case, here is my blog! I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do with this blog yet, but I think I'll start posting my 666 findings here. I'll also post stories of things that happen in real life that would be way too long to post on Google+. Hope you stick around. :3
